Deborah "Debbie" (Sharpe) Flood, '57, died on June 26, 2026. Survived by sister, Lowell (Sharpe) McMullin, '52 and predeceased by sister Barbara "Barbie" (Sharpe) McKee, '54.

Madison Scott, '18, started a new position as a Security BIM Designer at Jacobs.

Drew Heckman, '09, started a new role as Planning Manager at Lambda Legal. This is a newly created role. He'll be helping with strategic plan implementation and project & process management across the organization.

Charlotte Hedican, ’15, performed in “Beehive” with the Performing Artists Repertory Theatre.

Chris Ames, ’12, joined the Workshop marketing team as the director of marketing.

Grant Perry, ’07, has been promoted to President of Vrana Civil.

Many members of the Class of 2022 graduated from college this spring including: Allie Froendt, University of Kansas; Cami Kotouc, Harvard University; Maya Savory, John Hopkins University; Chris Schinzel, University of Nebraska at Omaha, who is one of 12 UNMC Scott Scholars starting medical school this fall; Mary Schinzel, University of Nebraska at Omaha; Andrew Vinci, Arizona State University; Maia Su, Vassar College.

Andrew Massey, ’21, graduated from Oklahoma City University Wanda Bass School of Music with a bachelor’s degree in musical theatre.

Virginia Weltmer Kassel, ’50, D. May 15, 2026. Virginia “Ginny” attended Brownell Hall, starting as a freshman. She was vice president of the student council and served as the school representative for the Red Cross inter-school council. Virginia made her mark in public television, most notably as series producer and co‑creator of “The Adams Chronicles” on PBS. She was nominated for Emmy Awards in 1976 and 1977.

Gloria (Minor) Colerick, x’54, D. May 12, 2026, Gloria attended Brownell Hall briefly in the 1940s. Gloria came by train to Omaha for school. Her student file includes an original Western Union telegram sharing that blizzards had stopped the trains and delayed her return to school.

Alice Silberling, ’19, was promoted to senior marketing consultant at CEEK Marketing.

Jill Lindmeier, ’00, is currently living in the Netherlands working as community and culture manager at Elsevier. This spring, she welcomed a son, Lucian.

Audra Jones Weitzel, ’53, D. April 5, 2026. She attended Brownell Hall for Upper School and was a very active student participating in basketball, volleyball, field hockey, president of the dorm, student council, Triangle, Brownell Belles (student newspaper), and more.

Jane (Condon) Winnail, x’43, D. April 2, 2026, Jane attended Brownell Hall for two years of high school in the early 1940s where, as her obituary shares, “she created friends that would last her lifetime.” She lived to be 100 years old.

Grayston Shirey, ’21, became a senior publicist for ESPN, March 2026.

Priscilla (Prieb) Keim, ’55, D. February 2026, While only at Brownell Hall for two years, Priscilla was very active, participating in student council, honor roll, service league president, dorm president, hockey, basketball, voice, drama, and National Honor Society.

Matthew Schellen, ’03, D. January 24, 2026, Matt participated in Academic Decathlon and played hockey while at BT.

Elinor (Reed) Davis, ’44, D. January 14, 2026, Elinor was 99 years old and as her obituary shared, “her love of life and all things beautiful will be remembered.”

Emma Gould, ’23, has accepted a Studio Post Production Internship with Walt Disney Studios for the Summer of 2026.

Lauren, ’17 and Sean Gardner, ’17, celebrated the birth of their son Leo Campbell Gardner on December 26, 2025.

Lissa (Skutt) Sutton, ’74, D. December 22, 2025, Among her survivors are her beloved children: Jeanne Sutton, ’03, Bradley Sutton, ’05, and Will Sutton, ’08. She is also survived by siblings Kim (Skutt) Davis, ’76, and Tom Skutt, ’80, as well as her nieces and nephews: JB Davis, ’13, Laura Davis, x’14, Whitney Skutt, ’11, Tripp Skutt, ’14, and Connor Skutt, ’17.

Karen (Bisgard) Alexander, x’54, D. December 21, 2025, Predeceased by sister, Zibby (Bisgard) Oneal, ’52. Karen started at Brownell Hall in first grade. She went on to attend Vassar College.

Nan (Engler) Ray, ’51, D. November 8, 2025. Nan was active in choir/voice during her high school years, including serving as vice president of the choir her senior year. After college Nan moved to California with her life-long friend Sally (Suchart) Baumgartner, ’51. Through Sally, she met her husband whom she married in 1958.

Tom Keig, ’87, D. October 24, 2025. Tom was on both the yearbook and literary magazine staff, served as darkroom manager, and participated in the science fair.

Meredith Brockman, ’11, married John Harrer in October 2025. Members of the wedding party included Alison Brockman, ’13, Kelly McLeay Satherlie, ’11, and Victoria Wilson, ’11.

Constance (Dorman) Heiden Kammandel, ’65, D. October 8, 2025. Constance was a very active student participating in a variety of clubs and activities. Her four years in the Service League Club prepared her well for a life of philanthropic and community endeavors in the Omaha area as well as serving on the school’s Board of Trustees. She and her late husband, Geof Heiden, were recognized for their devoted years of service to BT as the Gala Honorary Chairs in 2000.

Grace Thaden, ’20, is engaged to Devin Trumbley and they are set to wed July 2026.

Amy (Razaghifar) Trickey, ’05, D. October 3, 2025. Among Amy’s survivors are her sister, Lauren (Razaghifar) Lombardi, ’01, and niece, Cameron Rose Lombardi, ’40. Amy passed away peacefully at home after a three-year battle with triple negative cancer. Lauren Lombardi shared this lovely tribute. “Amy was a proud BT lifer. She was involved in many activities while at BT, including cheerleading, volleyball, tennis, and the National Honor Society. Amy would often say her proudest achievement was being awarded the middle school technology award at Honor’s Day when she was in the eighth grade! Amy went on to study nursing at San Diego State University and loved her career as a surgical nurse and a medical professional. She was previously acknowledged in Fireside for her role in helping save lives during the COVID-19 epidemic. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and a dear friend to many. She is survived by her husband, Beau Trickey Sr., and their two children, Kendall and Beau Jr. She was dearly loved, and will forever be with us.”

Josh Cohen, ’12, married Anne D'Souza on August 23, 2025.

Nick Serrault, ’98, was recently appointed U.S. chief operating officer at Lockton, the world's largest privately held insurance brokerage.

Angela and John D. Haskell, ’08, celebrated the birth of Clyde DeForest Haskell on April 18, 2025.

Lydia Schieuer, ’13, married William Robertson on July 13, 2025.

Jessie (Curry) Worden, ’14, received the National AACTFest Outstanding Achievement in a Featured Role for her role as Bradley in the show “Men on Boats” at the Des Moines Playhouse.

Charlotte Hedican, ’15, was in this year’s Omaha Community Playhouse production of “A Christmas Carol.” She portrayed the role of Martha Cratchit.

Jordan Proby, ’15, married Sydney Pratt on September 27, 2025.

Katie Zheng, ’15, graduated from NYU Silver School of Social Work, passed her Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) exam, and began working as a community wellness coordinator at the Chinese-American Planning Council in New York City. Katie received the NYU Silver Award: Global Social Work Impact Award. This award honors a student who demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing social work practice within the context of global interdependence, social work engagement abroad, and/or practice with diverse globally connected populations in the United States.

Jake Gibbs, ’21, graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is working for Kiewit Foundations.

Josh Randolph, ’21, following in his grandfathers’ footsteps, serves as squadron commander in Air Force ROTC at MIT, where he’s earned multiple military honors including the Field Training Superior Performance Award. As director of professional development for MIT Emergency Medical Services, he has responded to over 100 emergency calls while training future EMTs, and he’s never missed running the annual Tough Ruck race (26.2 miles with a 50-lb backpack) to honor fallen service members and first responders. He is now pursuing medical school to become an Air Force doctor, combining his mechanical engineering background with his passion for compassionate patient care.

This past summer, Maya Savory, ’22, combined cutting-edge research with world exploration - conducting air quality research at the National University of Singapore while making the most of her weekends exploring Southeast Asia. From the bustling streets of Singapore to adventures in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand! 

Andrew Vinci, ’22, was a custom research intern at Navigate, a sports consulting firm, this past fall. Among his many activities, he serves as director of spirit, pride, and tradition for the Arizona State University Undergraduate Student Government and is a member of Sports Business Scholars, an exclusive program for top sports business students.

Claire Cenovic, ’23, a student at Barnard College of Columbia University has accepted an offer to join L’Oréal as a 2026 commercial strategy summer intern.

AJ Puskar, ’25, auditioned for, and was selected to be a member of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's University Singers, the “premiere and historic flagship choral ensemble... presenting the finest and most versatile choral singers...”

Katie Picard, ’25, is leading on and off the court! Katie was the only freshman captain selected for Doane volleyball’s Council of Captains. She was also selected as a dorm hall representative, is supporting Relay for Life as a member of the marketing committee, and is a member of the Doane campus The Kindness Project. She was also selected for the Doane President’s Leadership Council.

Liam Garrigan, ’25, is one of 13 talented singers joining the Heinz Chapel Choir this year at University of Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Brianna Vander Vorst, director of college counseling and guidance, caught up with Bill Du, ’25, and Bethany Haas, ’23, at Grinnell College. Bill is a first year physics major pursuing an engineering track, and Bethany is a third year double major in English and Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies.

Walt Duda, ’93, was named vice president, marketing acquisitions for Physicians Mutual.

Katie (Anderson) McCarville, ’05, is working as the Human Resources Manager for CyncHealth.

Cygne Cooper, ’10, is making waves in the beverage industry as chief brand officer of Hiyo! This innovative functional social tonic brand, co‑founded by Cygne, has recently secured investment from Constellation Brands, the parent company of Corona.

Maddie Klinger Atterberry, ’15, was named 4-H program coordinator for Sangamon County, Illinois.

Charlotte Hedican, ’15, portrayed Kate McGowan in the Omaha Community Playhouse’s production of Titanic The Musical.

Sean Gardner, ’17, served as technical director for the Elkhorn Community Theatre’s summer production of Shrek, The Musical. Gardner has been a member of their Board of Directors since 2023.

Peter Rice, ’18, is working as a multimedia journalist for News Channel Nebraska. In addition to writing and filming stories, he is also anchoring some broadcasts.

Grace Thaden, ’20, is working as a law clerk with Erickson Sederstrom Law Firm.

Kyra George, ’20, and Emalie Wightman, ’20, were selected as 2025 summer associates at the law firm, Koley Jessen, P.C., L.L.O.

Ava Mumgaard, ’20, was selected as a summer associate at the law firm, Baird Holm LLP.

Andrew Vinci, ’22, was elected as the next vice president of special events for Sports Business Scholars, a highly selective group at Arizona State University. Additionally, he was chosen by the USGA for the prestigious PJ Boatright Internship this summer in Phoenix.

Jordan Haase, ’24, self published two fiction novels in the zombie survival adventure genre.

Denisse Navarro-Perez, ’18, and Brian Herring were married on November 2, 2024. 

In May 2019, Charles “Sandy” McLaughlin reached out to BT hoping to connect with Brownell Hall alum, Mary (Taylor) Kirke, ’59. Sandy and Mary were friends in high school and Sandy still had Mary’s class ring after all these years. Sandy and Mary reconnected and in March 2023 they were married! 

Andrew Massey, ’21, was one of 15 students from Oklahoma City University who were in Novafeltria, Italy, this summer studying and performing at the 25th anniversary of the elite opera training program, La musica lirica! Andrew was chosen to perform the role of Barone Duphol and is in the chorus. Andrew is pictured with his parents, Michelle and Peter, ’81, Massey.

Andrew Vinci, ’22, was in Paris summer of 2025 to intern for the Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Andrew was one of 12 students from the W.P. Carey School of Business
- Arizona State University who participated in the program, gaining hands-on experience in global branding and sports marketing. 

Eliza Rice, ’19, recently received the Milwaukee Bucks Sales & Service Rookie of the Year Award.

Yaeko Okuda, ’20, was named the Senior Director of Finance at Boston Scientific Japan.

Guy Shipley, ’24, was cast in Drake University’s two musical productions for this theatre season: Dewey in Legally Blonde and Man #3 in First Day!
